Systems thinking has proven effective at reflecting, rather than reducing, the complexity of human and natural systems and in identifying the most high-leverage activities to influence that system. With a newly-defined goal of intergenerational, global, and cross-sector sustainability, we need a new, more sophisticated toolbox for business planning.
